Having just arrived back in London recently after spending nearly six months in San Francisco, staying with my very good friend, the late John Lee Hooker, I was extremely upset by a call informing me of his passing away in his sleep. Sadly, John didn't manage to "Hang On The Vine" as he put it long enough to record the album that we'd planned together.
