23-year-old Leslie Ming Jensen made her way over to London from her native Denmark, to chase a dream, a dream that she had been working on for quite some time. It started with her love of music, brought up to a backdrop of Brit-Pop such as Blur and Oasis and the emerging "Boy Bands" like Take That and East 17, Leslie Jensen decided very early on, that music was to be her chosen career. Starting to write her own songs on either guitar or piano, she started to put her plan into motion. This included applying for and succeeding through the auditions of the first series of the Danish version of the hit TV show "Popstars".
But "Popstars" was not the vision she had of herself, especially as she writes her own material and with less than two rounds to go and with the point proved to herself that her voice was worthy, she opted out of the show. This was followed shortly afterwards by another appearance on Danish Television on the show "Star for a Night".
Armed with new confidence, both in her own abilities and with the added profile that her TV appearances had gained her, she moved on to the next part of the plan: To look for a record deal outside the confines of Denmark! With this in mind, a guitar, full song book and a TV crew not far behind, she boarded a plane; next stop, London!
With her unique voice and her individual interpretation on life, love, the world and all its woes, combined with some great vocal melodies, powerful backing tracks and her striking looks, Leslie Jensen must be a very exiting prospect for the future!
